6.8 IEEE488.2 Common Command

*IDN? Identification Query

Function Reads out the manufacturer name, model number etc. of the product.

Response ANRITSU, MG3641A, 0, 1 or ANRITSU, MG3642A, 0, 1

*OPC Operation Complete Command

Function Set the bit-0 digit in the standard event status register when all the pending selected-device

operations have been completed.

Parameter None

*OPC? Operation Complete Query

Function Sets 1 in the output queue to generate a MAV summary message when all the pending selected-

device operations have been completed.

Response 1

*TST? Self-test Query

Function Executes a self-test and returns the results of any errors.

Response Result = 0 : Indicates that the self-test completed without errors.

1 : Indicates that the self-test is not completed, or is completed with errors.

*WAI Wait-to-continue Command

Function Keeps the next command on stand-by state while the device is executing a command.

*CLS Clear Status Command

Function Clear the status byte register.

Parameter None

*ESE Standard Event Status Enable Command

Function Sets or clear the standard event status enable register.

Parameter Register = 0 to 255

*ESE? Standard Event Status Enable Query

Function Reads out the standard event status enable register.

Response Register = 0 to 255

*ESR? Standard Event Status Register Query

Function Reads out the current value in the standard event status register.

Response Register = 0 to 255

*SRE Service Request Enable Command

Function Sets the bits in the service request enable register.

Parameter Register = 0 to 255

*SRE? Service Request Enable Query

Function Reads out the service request enable register.
